What does 'RTP' mean?

RTP, or Return to Player, is a key metric used to describe the expected percentage of total wagers that a slot machine or game will pay back to players over time. This value is expressed as a percentage.

How RTP Works
RTP is based on theoretical, long-term gameplay. For example:

  • If a slot game has an RTP of 96%, this means that, on average, the game will return $96 for every $100 wagered over time.
  • The remaining 4% represents the house edge—the profit retained by the casino.

Important to Know

  • RTP is calculated over millions of spins, not per individual gaming session.
  • Actual player experiences may vary greatly in the short term due to the random nature of each spin.

Why RTP Matters
RTP helps players understand the potential return of a game and can assist in making informed choices when selecting which slot to play. Games with higher RTPs generally offer better long-term value, though they do not guarantee consistent short-term wins.
